Joral Head Control Box |
|||
| HCB System Overview | ||||
| The Head Control Box (HCB) is a
programmable logic device that takes the signals from the handles (or
joysticks), the signals from the head/carrier, and the signals from the
cut-length controller and performs logical control for the head and carrier valves and functions.
The diagram to the right show how the HCB fits in an overall system. • Head Control Box Connects to Handles • Head Control Box Controls Carrier and Head Functions • Adapter Cables Available to match the Head and Carrier • Optional T3R Controls the Cut-Length Control • Optional T3R Provides the User Interface • Great for Non-Measuring Control Applications • Use for Retrofits / Restorations / Repairs |

Additional Specifications The Head Control Box can be tailor-fit to meet the needs of the system. The following information provides a basis for the system to use as a starting point. Electrical Requirements 12v or 24v power system 500millamps current draw Uses reliable Amp 37 pin circular plastic connectors (CPC) 3 Amp Valve Control Outputs Most Inputs are sourcing Two (top and bottom saw prox) can be sinking Input Functions The HCB box receives inputs from the joystick handles and from the machine. Using the Head Control Box With the CLC-T3R When the T3R is combined with the HCB, the HCB receives all the connections from the joystick handles, the boom, and the carrier. The signals that the T3R requires are routed through the HCB. A single cable connects the T3R to the HCB. Using the Head Control Box Stand-Alone The HCB can be used stand-alone as a head and carrier control system. In many cases, it can be enhanced to perform the counting and cut-length control. HCB General Input/Output Capability From the view of a general control computer, the HCB has the following I/O: 22 digital inputs 22 digital outputs 4 optional auxiliary function relays Run input Safety Interlock input |
